Today they heard someone 4 shouting, which worried 5 them.
The shouting got 6 louder, and they saw 7 an elderly man ahead 8 of them.
He seemed 9 to be shouting at someone near him, but no one was there.
"What's going 10 on?" Sam asked.
"I don't know," said 11 Mary.
"Maybe we should get closer."
The man was walking very slowly 12, so it was easy for Sam and Mary to get closer.
After following 13 him for a minute, the girls thought 14 he was just wandering 15 around.
He would 16 start and stop for no reason 17.
He walked one way and then the other.
He was wearing some house slippers 18, not outside shoes.
Then another man came 19 by.
He saw the elderly man and began to talk to him.
Sam and Mary couldn't hear what he was saying 20.
The young man touched the elderly man's shoulder.
Then the old man began shouting at him very loudly and tried to hit the young man.
The young man stepped 21 back and quickly walked the other way.
The elderly man kept on wandering.
"Do you think he's dangerous?" Mary asked.
"I think he's confused," answered Sam.
"What do you think we should do?"
