Newspoll and Nelson give Labor 2 a ten and 12 point lead respectively in the two party preferred vote. Tony Abbot has dismissed the poll. He says his tough budget is about making the hard decisions to run the country effectively.


   
The ABC had learned that a Sydney man believed to be fighting in Syria is married to a woman who’s now facing in charges for supporting terrorism. Mohamed Eloma was captured on Facebook to declaring his royalty 3 to one of the most brutal 4 militant 5 groups involved in the Syrian civil war. His wife is arrested in Sydney airport this month.
   
Sir Jack 6 Brabham is being remembered as one of Australia’s greatest sportsman. The triple formula one world champion died this morning at his gold coast home aged 7 88. Sir Jack was named Australia of the year in 1966. A national treasure in the 2012 and was the first driver in the history to be knighted when his services to motorsport. 
   
And the Queensland squad 8 has been unveiled for game one of Rugby League’s state origin series to be played in Brisbane on Wednesday week. Rooster’s  forward Aiden Guella is the only new face coming in for injured Bronco Sam Folida and the Blue squad will be announced in Sydney tomorrow.
