A cold front is moving across NSW, bringing showers on and west of the ranges. A brisk southerly flow is triggering showers and the odd thunderstorm about SA and Victoria. A broad trough over northern Western Australia is producing the odd thundery shower.
Looking around at the country.
Cold and gusty 1 winds in the south of Queensland with showers expected inland. Isolated 2 showers about the very far northeastern tropics, fine and sunny elsewhere.
In NSW, fine in the far west, a rain is expected elsewhere, possible thunderstorms in southern and central districts.
Areas of rain over the southwest of Victoria are developing over the southeast during the afternoon, mostly cloudy with moderate to strong southwesterly winds.
In Tasmania, raining in the southern central and east areas, easing during the evening, fine about the west and northwest coasts.
Isolated showers in southern and central parts of South Australia with cool southwesterly winds.
In WA, showers in the far north and south, while it should be dry elsewhere.
Isolated afternoon showers over the Top End, mainly about the west and north coasts, dry and mostly sunny elsewhere.
And looking ahead to tomorrow's forecast for the capitals, fine and sunny in Brisbane, isolated showers in Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart and Perth, or Adelaide and Darwin will be partly cloudy.
