The crisis in Ukraine is starting to impact on the Russian economy. Russia expects investors 1 will have moved assets worth up to 70 billion dollars out of the country in the first three months this year. The accident is the result of the panic reaction to sanctions against Russia.

A pick-up in consumer confidence helps push Wall Street higher overnight. The Dow closed more than half a per cent higher. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 were also up. In London, the FTSE rose more than one percent in value.
