There are scattered 1 thunderstorms above the northern tropical areas and some isolated 2 thunderstorm activity over central Australia. Some patchy low level cloud over southern Victoria and northern Tasmania from easterly winds. There is some low level cloud over the bait.

In Queensland, scattered showers above the tropical and central east coast are expected to increase later in the day. Showers and isolated thunderstorms above the far north of Cape 3 York Peninsula.
Partly cloudy in the far west of New South Wales and in the far northeastern inland. Isolated showers and thunderstorms elsewhere.
Possible thunderstorms are in Gippsland this morning and in Victoria. Fine over the northern plains. Mild near the coast and warm inland with light southeasterly, easterly winds.
Fine and partly cloudy in Tasmania until isolated showers developed above the Flindes Island this afternoon. Also some light winds later in the day.
In South Australia, possible isolated showers and afternoon thunderstorms over the northern district. Fine,warm with light winds in the afternoon.
In the west, showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberly and the northern interior. Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the Pilbara.
Isolated showers and storms throughout the Top End, clearing from the far southwest. Some heavy falls possible above the northeast coast.
And looking ahead to tomorrow's forecast for the capital cities: a shower or two in Sydney and Brisbane, sunny in Melbourne, cloud clearing in Perth, mostly sunny in Adelaide, partly cloudy in Hobart and Canberra and an afternoon shower in Darwin.
