1. Police in San Bernardino say two adults are dead after an apparent murder suicide in an elementary school. Officials say at least two students were into hospital as a result of the shooting. 


2. Justice Neil Gorsuch took his place in history Monday as the newest addition on the bench of the supreme 1 court, restoring a narrow conservative majority. Gorsuch was sworn nearly 14 months after the seat was left vacant with the sudden death of Justice Antonin Scalia. 


3. Convicted Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof has pleaded guilty to state murder charges, leaving him to await federal execution, and sparing his victims and families the burden of second trial. The 23-year old entered his plea Monday as part of the deal with prosecutors 2 in exchange for life prison sentence. 


4. The United States launched its bid to co-host the 2026 World Cup with Mexico and Canada on Monday, after gaining the support of president Donald Trump 3 to pursuit soccer showpiece, amid heightened regional political tensions.
