1. The FBI says investigators 1 have found no explosives aboard a Los Angeles-bound Thai Airways 2 flight, in which a bomb threat was found scrawled 3 on a bathroom mirror. All passengers were immediately interviewed once the plane landed and then released. There were no arrests.
2. The leader of a small Florida church says he’s received more than 100 death threats after he announced plans to burn copies of the Quran on September 11th. But Reverend Terry Jones says he has no plans to back off his plan. The White House and other religious leaders are pressuring Jones to call off his plan.
3. Authorities say a wildfire burning near Boulder 4, Colorado, has destroyed at least 90 structures. The fire which has burned more than 7,000 acres is not contained. Officials are investigating reports that the fire started when a car ran into a propane tank.
4. In Detroit, at least two dozens homes have been damaged after a fire started because of down power lines. Strong winds are believed to have brought down those utility poles. At the time, there were wind gust 5 about 50 miles per hour. So far, no injuries have been reported.
