1. Nuclear safety officials say they're concerned that seawater near Japan's troubled nuclear power plant contains radiation more than 3,300 times the legal limit. But they insist it's not a threat to human health. Meanwhile the president of the company that owns the plant has been hospitalized with high blood pressure.
2. Workers at a government laboratory in Alabama will be the first to know if dangerous radioactive materials reach the U.S. from Japan. The workers trap air particles in Hawaii, Alaska and dozens of other states with small filters and analyze 1 them. They say so far, testing shows radiation levels are safe.
3. Moammar Gadhafi's forces have driven back rebels who had begun advancing westward 2. Loyalist forces using tanks and rockets outgunned the rebel groups. President Barack Obama says arming the rebels is under consideration.
4. And 30 years ago today President Ronald Reagan was shot outside the Washington Hilton. Reagan, Press Secretary James Brady and two others were wounded. Gunman John Hinckley has been committed to a mental hospital since the shootings.
