 One day Nat and I sat 1 on the high hill by the sea, where the tall lighthouse stands.  一天,奈特和我坐在海边的高山上,高高的灯塔立在那里。


We could 2 look far out, and could see the ships at sea. 我们可以看到很远的地方,可以看见海里的船。
As 3 we sat there, we saw 4 a man near by, with some sheep and lambs 5.  我们坐在那里,看到旁边有个人,还有一群绵羊和山羊。
The man had 6 a pipe 7 in his mouth. He sat with us, and let the sheep eat the grass. 这个人的嘴里叼着一只烟斗。他和我们坐在一起,让绵羊吃草。
What fun it is to see lambs play! It made 8 us laugh to see them. 看着山羊玩耍多有意思呀!我们笑着观看它们。

I think that men should watch their sheep, so that a wolf can not catch them. 我觉得这个人应该看护好他的绵羊,这样狼就抓不到羊了。
