口语:除了all 英文如何表达“完全”“彻底”

提到“完全”、“彻底”，你的脑海中是否只会闪现all、completely、entirely一类的单词？其实外国的小伙伴们还有更丰富的词汇，来表达他们强烈的语气呢~
1. Every inch
不说all，你也可以用every inch(每一寸)来表示“完完全全地，整个地”。
例：With his new suit on, he looks every inch a businessman.
穿上新西装，他看上去完全是个商人了。
2. Through and through
Through本身有“完全的”、“彻底的”意思， through and through就更能加强这种语气了。
例：I know him through and through, and he would never do such a cowardly thing.
我对他十分了解，他绝不会这么懦弱。
3. Root and branch
这个短语把树根和树杈都说全了，用来形容“彻彻底底”再合适不过了。
例：The laws were reformed root and branch.
法律法规经历了彻底的改革。
4. To the core 1
Core有“核心”之意，to the core则表示“彻底”、“十足”。
例：Her family is English to the core.
她家都是地道的英国人。
5. From head to toe
除了用树根树杈来描述“全部”，歪果仁还会用上面这个短语来表示“全身”、“从头到脚”，也可以用来形容“彻头彻尾”。
例：I admire them from head to toe!
我对他们佩服得五体投地！
