The growth of CPI, a main gauge 1 of inflation, slightly slowed in November. It grew 3 percent year on year, down from the 3.2 percent recorded in October. Food prices, especially that of vegetables, were the main driver.

Q1: In September and October, the CPI has been above 3 percent year on year. Seasonal 2 demand and weather play their role in boosting prices. What does it indicate? What can we expect the CPI to be next month?
Q2: China’s top leadership unveiled economic and social reforms last month. It will give the market a bigger role in setting prices. How will it influence the CPI next year?
