   Beijing residents could be rewarded with up to 500,000 yuan if they can provide useful information on spies or related activities, according to a government policy that took effect last Monday.


  根据于上周一生效的一项政府政策,北京市民若提供间谍或相关活动的有用情报,最多可获奖励50万元。
  Informants are eligible 1 to be offered rewards ranging from 100,000 yuan to 500,000 yuan, depending on how useful the information is, according to the policy issued by the National Security Bureau of Beijing.
  由北京市国家安全局发布的该政策规定,根据情报的有用程度,举报人可获10万至50万元奖励。
  City officials said the public should help "to slowly construct an iron Great Wall in combating evil and guarding against spies".

  根据该政策,因提供间谍相关情报,举报人或其亲属面临危险的,可向国安机关请求予以保护。
