More than 75 percent of Chinese people surveyed said they consider traffic the most important factor in creating livable cities.

我国超过75%的受访者表示，他们认为交通是建设宜居城市最重要的因素。
According to a survey conducted by China Youth Daily, more than 85 percent of 2,003 respondents said they are concerned about building livable cities, and in addition to transportation, they also stressed a clean environment and safe communities.
《中国青年报》进行的一项调查显示，在2003名受访者中，逾85%的人表示他们关注宜居城市建设，除了交通，他们还强调干净的环境和安全的社区的重要性。
Nearly 60 percent of respondents were satisfied with the living conditions in their cities. However, about 14 percent expressed discontent.

Air quality and traffic congestion 1 were among the biggest complaints that respondents said need to be improved. They also wanted improvements 2 to drinking water quality, housing 3 and public health conditions.

The respondents also called for better shopping amenities 4, medical services and education.

For the urban working class, personal development and career opportunities were among the most important concerns, and daily stress may affect their feelings about urban livability, the newspaper quoted Lv Bin 5, professor at the College of Urban and Environmental Sciences at Peking University, as saying.
该报援引北京大学城市与环境科学学院吕斌教授的话称，对于城市工薪阶层来说，个人发展和职业机遇是最关注的问题，而生活的压力会影响他们对城市宜居性的偏好。
Prof. Lv said cities should be designed better and industries need to be adjusted for green development.
吕斌教授表示，城市应该被规划得更好，而行业需要调整为绿色发展。
