Hundreds of rescuers are continuing to try to find survivors 1 of the accident, even though the chances of anyone still being alive are fading by the day. The president of the Korea Rescue Association says the search will intensify 2 in the next three days, with more divers 3 using guide ropes to enter the ship. And he believes it’s possible that some passengers could still be alive inside air pockets within the hull 4.
"First of all, the most important thing is finding out where the air bubbles are to confirm whether there are any survivors. The second priority is to search for bodies. I believe there must be some survivors and the air bubbles must be found. We believe there is hope." Choung Doug Nam, president of Korea Rescue Association, said.
