That no matter how hard they tried to get the uniform right, it was unappreciated他们花了很多精力去整制服 结果却没人赏识
Those students didn't make it through training这些学员无法通过训练
Those students didn't understand the purpose of the drill因为他们不能理解训练的目的
You were never going to succeed
你无法成功
You were never going to have a perfect uniform制服永远无法完美
The instructors 1 weren't going to allow it教官压根就不想让你合格
Sometimes no matter how well you prepare
有时 无论你怎么准备
or how well you perform you still end up as a sugar cookie无论你怎么表现 "糖曲奇"效应可能都会无法避免It's just the way life is sometimes
生活有时就是如此
If you want to change the world
如果你想改变世界
get over being a sugar cookie and keep moving forward别怕变成"糖曲奇" 勇往直前就行了
Every day during training you were challenged with multiple 2 physical events每天的训练都包括多重身体挑战
long runs, long swims, obstacle 3 courses, hours of calisthenics长跑 长距离游泳 障碍跨越 数小时的健身操
something designed to test your mettle 4
这些都是为了测试你的耐力
Every event had standards times you had to meet每种挑战都有标准 包括时间标准
If you failed to meet those standards your name was posted on a list如果不能达标 你的名字就会被记下来
and at the end of the day those on the list were invited to a "circus."一天结束之后 被记下来的人会被请入"马戏表演"A circus was two hours of additional calisthenics"马戏"是额外两小时的健身操
designed to wear you down, to break your spirit, to force you to quit这是为了让你累趴下 让你精神崩溃 逼你退出
No one wanted a circus
没人想"表演马戏"
A circus meant that for that day you didn't measure up"马戏"表示那一天 你没有达标
A circus meant more fatigue
"马戏"意味着你会更累
and more fatigue meant that the following day would be more difficult更累意味着下一天你会更困难
and more circuses were likely
这又更可能导致"马戏"
But at some time during SEAL training
有时 在海豹训练中
everyone made the circus list
每个人都被记了名字
But an interesting thing happened to those who were constantly on the list有趣的是 经常被记名字的人
Overtime those students
随着时间的推移
who did 2 hours of extra calisthenics, got stronger and stronger这两小时额外健身操让他们变得更强
