The tough task of rebuilding the shattered economy of Tasmania's west coast has begun. In the wake of two major mine closures announced this week, the Tasmanian government's working group has held its first meeting.
The Federal Government said it's listening bit it's waiting for details before it stumps 1 up(掏腰包) any cash. Steven Smiley reports.
Tasmania's west coast is reeling from the double blow of two mine closures announced in one week. Hundreds of well-paid, skilled jobs have gone overnight. The task of luring 2 new employers will be long and hard, but suggestions aren't in short supply.

Tourism and agriculture are the main hopes with some projects already under scrutiny 3.
Our top economy is in the Pacific, there are … and we are still working with them. But what we can't do is to give avenue for these projects to be fast-track where it's possible.
The Federal Government has been criticized for not stumping 4 up cash.
Hitting you and not doing anything about it today, it's not helping 5 the situation and it's disgraceful. We can't take it through a full month to … that happened here. And it's been done ….

The Commonwealth 6 says it will consider a project put forward by the Tasmanian government's working group.
