At the World Junior Hockey Championships on Russia, Team USA hammered Canada 5-1 to advance to the finals.
Among the Canadians who woke up early to try to catch the game is locked-out superstar Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins 1.
"I woke up for the second period. So I think it was around five (5:00 AM EST) when I got up and couldn't stay awake for the third (period). But I set my alarm for an early wake up and saw that we (Canada) lost. So that's too bad but the U.S. played a great game."
The final will see the Americans take on Sweden, who upset the Russians 3-2 in an overtime 2 shootout.
Russia and Canada will battle it out for bronze.
