Floating in English

Every day Mike gets up at 7:30 and goes to walk at 8:30. I get up 2 hours earlier than Mike. I get up early to go jogging. Mike goes to bed at midnight, because he is fond of watching TV later at night. He is a “couch potato”. I go to bed at 9:30. I believe that “early to bed and early to rise” is good for my health. Mom often says, “Tthe early bird gets the worn”.

Conversation One Anna Might Be Late for Her Flight

Mom: It is time to get up,Anna.

Anna: What time is it now,Mom?

Mom: It is already 11:30.

Anna: But my watch says it is only 7:15.

Mom: Silly girl, your watch is wrong! Get up, or you will be late for your flight.

Anna: No,i won't. I still have plenty of time.

Mom: You do not have time to waste,Anna! Your plane takes off at 2:40 p.m.. You have to take a shower and eat lunch, and it takes an hour and a half to drive to the airport. Get up now, or you will miss your plane, just like you did last month.

Anna: Ok,Mom. I will get up.
