Europe's soccer governing body UEFA has confirmed Monday that the 2016 European Championship will go ahead in France as planned despite the deadly attacks in Paris last Friday.
欧洲足球最高管理部门欧足联周一官方宣布，虽然法国巴黎受到恐怖袭击，但是2016年的欧洲杯仍将会在法国如期举办。
"The EURO final draw will go ahead as scheduled on 12 December in Paris and the final tournament will be played in France from 10 June to 10 July 2016," read a statement by UEFA.
欧足联的声明上表示：“本届欧洲杯的抽签仪式将在12月12日于巴黎举行，决赛阶段的比赛则将会在2016年的6月10日至7月10日在法国举行。”
At least 129 people were killed and 352 injured in the attacks on Friday night in Paris, for which the extremist group Islamic State has claimed responsibility, with suicide 1 bombing and gun-shooting taking place in various locations, including the Stade de France.

On Saturday, Euro 2016 chief Lambert said the Euro 2016 finals in France should not be cancelled even though the risk levels have gone up after the deadly attacks in Paris.

France coach Didier Deschamps supported the decision, telling a news conference ahead of Tuesday's friendly against England at Wembley: "Euro 2016 will take place in France. Measures will be taken for it to go ahead in the best conditions."
