on one’s best behavior : means to behave perfectly 1 行为举止得体，经常用于大人说小孩 ，大人也可以用来说自己，通常有调侃的意味。
e.g.<1> She had too much drink. She wasn’t on her best behavior.
她喝太多了，不像她的举止了。
<2>I told him he would have to be on his best behavior all day, if he wanted to go to the zoo tomorrow.
