1. Germany wins its fourth World Cup title with a 1:0 victory over Argentina. The winning goal came in the 113th minute. It’s Germany’s first World Cup win as a united country.
2. Authorities say a man who fatally shot a rookie Jersey 1 City officer responding to an armed robbery call never tried to rob the drug store and instead lay in wait for the police to arrive. The Jersey City mayor says the suspect told a witness before he shot 23-year-old officer Melvin Santiago to watch the news because he was “going to be famous”. The suspect was then killed by other officers.
3. A car that collided with a Greyhound bus on an Indiana highway had been stolen and was travelling the wrong way. The sheriff says 19 people on the bus were injured and the driver of the stolen Ford 2 Mustang was killed.
4. And an unmanned supply capsule is on its way to the international space station. It blasted off from the Virginia coast on Sunday and is expected to dock on Wednesday.
