Sandstorms 沙尘暴
If the storm comes to a desert, what will happen? 如果沙漠刮起风暴会怎样？
Sand and dust will blow with the wind. 沙尘都会被风吹起来。
This is called a sandstorm. 这就是所谓的沙尘暴。
The Sahara Desert experiences sandstorms quite often. 撒哈拉沙漠经常刮沙尘暴。
How big is the sandstorm? 沙尘暴有多大？
When it happens, the sand and dust in the wind cover the sky. 刮沙尘暴时，风中的沙尘能遮蔽天空。
It also sometimes moves sand hills. 有时它也能推动沙丘。
The sandstorm is very dangerous. 沙尘暴很危险。
Because it covers the sky, airplanes cannot fly. 因为它遮蔽了天空，飞机就不能飞了。
Also, people can not breathe, because of the dust and sand in the air. 因为空气混杂着沙尘，人们就不能呼吸。
Does it happen only on Earth? 只有地球刮沙尘暴吗？
No, there are sandstorms on Mars as well. 不是，火星上也刮沙尘暴。
