An attorney says Christine Blasey Ford 1 may testify about allegations that she was assaulted decades ago by Supreme 2 Court nominee 3 Brett Kavanaugh. However, the Attorney told Senators Doctor Ford would prefer to testify next Thursday without Kavanaugh in the room.
President Trump 4 called Kavanaugh "one of the finest human beings you will ever have the privilege of knowing." Trump, at a rally, in Las Vegas, also said he'll let the process play out.
Syracuse, New York police are searching for suspects after five people, including an 8-year-old girl, were shot. Witnesses say two or three people may have fired the shots.
North Carolina's governor says the damages from hurricane Florence will add up to billions of dollars. Florence is blamed for at least 41 deaths in 3 states. More than half were in vehicles.
