Nothing gold can stay
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue 1 to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides 2 leaf,
So Eden sank to grief.
So down gose down to day,
Nothing gold can stay.
自然的新绿是纯金，
她这种色彩最难保存。
她的新叶像一朵花；
但只能持续一刹那。
然后就还原成为叶片，
乐园就这样沉入哀愁，
曙光就这样堕入白昼，
凡是纯金都难留。
