Dictation Instructions
Listen to the following passage or together the passage will be read to you four times. During the first reading which will be read in normal speed .Listen and try to understand the meaning . For the second and third readings the passage will be read sentence by sentence or phrase 1 by phrase. with intervals 2 or 15 seconds. The last reading will be read in normal speed again and during this time you should take your work you will then be given 2 minutes to check your work once more. Please write the whole passage on answer sheet II

The Sun
A long time ago, people thought that the sun went around the earth. In some countries, people even said that the sun was a god . They thought the god drives across the sky each day on a golden 3 horse. Now we know the earth goes around the sun . It takes the earth a year to go all the way around the sun . Today men even know how far it is for the earth to go around the sun . They tell us that the earth travels over thousand miles minutes on its journey around the sun. The sun is really a star it is much bigger than the earth and it is very hot. Some people have been to the moon . But we know that no one can ever go to the sun . It is far too hot for people to live anywhere near it. The sun is three hundred thousand times heavier than the earth . And more than a million times larger.
