Chinese President Xi Jinping attended a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China in Hong Kong on July 1st.
Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chair of the Central Military Commission, was also present at the inauguration 1 of the new government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative 2 Region.
