 This other building is called the Treasury 1. 那是财政部。


There is a picture of it on the 10 dollar bill. 10美元上就有它的图案。
In the Treasury is kept money of the United States. 美国的钱都由财政部保管。
We write United States with two letters, U.S.,  我们用U.S.这两个字母表示美国,
and we write the sign for dollars with the same two letters, written one on top of the other, with the bottom of the U cut off—thus, $. 我们同样用这两个字母表示美元,把一个字母写在另一个上面,并把U的底下切掉——这样就变成了美元符号$。
Paper money and postage-stamps are printed in another building. 印制纸币和邮票是在另一栋建筑物里。
