Unit Four Vehicle (Rebecca is the head of the data process department. Now she is interviewed by an interviewer.)
A: How do you get to work?
B: I take the bus three times a week as the gas fee is high.
A: So you drive to work the other two days?
B: I usually share a ride with my neighbor Bill. This way we can save gas.
A: Isn’t it slow to go by bus?
B: Well, a little. Even though the bus makes good time, I have to get ready for work about twenty minutes earlier.
(Michael is Rebecca’s son, his in high school.)
A: So, both your mother and yourself take buses in the morning?
C: Yes, I go to high school. I catch the school bus at the next corner
A: Is the bus usually on time?
C: Almost always. I never have to wait for it more than five minutes.
A: Does it take longer to go by bus than by car?
C: Well, yes. It’s especially in my case. I’m one of the first to get on and the last to get off. The bus picks up about 40 other kids between here end school.
Unit five Gas Station (Tomas wants to refill his car at a gas station.)
A: May I help, sir?
B: Yes. I’d like to get some gas.
A: Regular or ethyl?
B: Regular. My car runs all right on cheaper gas.
A: How many gallons do you want?
B: Fill it up.
