今天，我们主要学习如何表达"没能力做某事"，或"不胜任某项工作"，首先介绍这个词：beyond, 用"be beyond something"可以表示"某件事超过了…
This unique job is beyond my ability. 这项特殊的工作超出了我的能力
It's beyond my imagination. 这超出了我的想象。
Those results were beyond dispute. 那些结果不容争辩。
Be incapable 1 of doing something，这是一个很好的表示"没能力做某事"的句型。
You friend is incapable of handling your own problems. 你的朋友没能力处理你自己的问题。
We're incapable of penetrating 2 into the European market that is already saturated 3. 我们没能力进入欧洲市场，这个市场已经饱和了。
I'm afraid that I'm incapable of talking him out of it. 我恐怕没法说服他不做那件事。
那么，Be capable of doing something就是相反的意思了，"有能力做某事"：
My brother is capable of running his own business. 我哥哥有能力自己创业。
Be incompetent 4 in something, be incompetent as something, be incompetent to do something，表示没能力胜任某事：
I can tell you're incompetent in your work. 我看得出来你不胜任你的工作。
Jane is incompetent as a marketing 5 director. 简不胜任市场总监这个职业。
I'm incompetent to run for the mayor. 我没能力竞选市长。
那么Be competent就是有能力，能胜任某事了，
Everybody should be competent enough to win this contest. 每个人都必须有足够的能力以便赢得这次比赛。
