有位漂亮的小姑娘Angela，20岁刚出头，很喜欢我们的节目。首先谢谢这位小妹妹对我们节目的支持。她询问如何用英语表达"比得上某人或某物"，推荐一个词组："stand up to"，在"to"的后面放上要比的人或物就可以了：I can't stand up to Angela, she's far more young than me.(我哪能跟Angela比，她比我年轻多了)。
And how well do they meet our needs? Do they stand up to ALC? 在满足我们的需求方面，他们能做到哪些？他们比能上ALC公司吗？
How's your new boyfriend, does he stand up to Paul? 你的新任男友怎么样，他比得上保罗吗？

下面，要介绍的英语表达法很实用，经常会听到同学们这样说：别让你妈妈知道，否则她会唠叨个没完没了。 那么用英语如何表示呢？You'll never hear the end of it，你不会听到这事有结束的时候，意思呢就是"唠叨个没完没了"。
If my mom finds out, you'll never hear the end of it.如果被我妈妈发现，她会唠叨个没完没了。
Don't bring it up to Julia; otherwise you'll never hear the end of it. 不要在珠丽亚面前提及此事，否则她会唠叨个没完没了。
Once she starts it, you'll never hear the end of it. 她一旦开个头，就没个完。
