This is Scientific American-60 Second Science.I'm Steve Mersky.Got a minute? There is a lot of discussion about the debates they had and who was right. Willham Bob,he is the grandson of the great physicist 1 Nills Bob who had strong scientific disagreements with Albert Einstein.For example,Einstein was uncomfortable with the probably nature of aspects of quantimechanics which Bob expected.But they did have a very warm relationship .Until June.3rd,2015,Willham Bob talked about his famous grandfather at length in a public lecture in the * institute for a theoretical physics in Waterloon on territorial 2 Canada.I just found these two letters here that I thought it would be interesting to just highlight.So they received Nobel Prize same year in 1922 that was because Einstein 's Nobel Prize was delayed because of the war.Nills Bob was writing to Einstein how deeply honored he is to get the Nobel Prize at the same time and sent our warm congratulations on the occasions of you receiving prize.You've received many recognizations.This may not be great a fortune to you,but also brings you useful monitoring word.For myself,it brings the highest honor and happiness that on the circumstances that I should receive this honor at the same time as you.I know how little I have reserved compare to your own contribution.And there is a hand-writing letter from Einstein here to Bob from ship here and in the way back from Japan.Dear beloved Bob ,your affection letter me reach the short for my departure from Japan.I can't say it's exaggeration that pleases me as much as Nobel Prize.I find you are feared about the possiblely getting the prize before you're specially 3 indeer.That is generally Bob-like.Your new analysis on the item,a company me my journey ,my love for your mind have gone even more.More regards to happy,reunion and stop.Come from Einstein.Before our long talk by Willham Bob,the * institute is available on the Scientific American website.Just search for Bob and currently among the first page of interests that come up.
