With a faultless tire strategy, Ferrari's Fernando Alonso claimed his 31st career victory at the Shanghai International Circuit.
The 31-year-old showed an incredible feat 1 of overtaking three times to clock one hour 36 minutes, 26.929 seconds, which was 10.1 seconds clear of the runner-up Kimi Raikkonen.
"Well, hello everybody. First of all, I want to thank you for your support all weekend. Amazing fans all weekend, it's very nice to race here. About the race: yes, definitely it was a fantastic race for us, from the start to the end, without big problems with the car."
The race was also Finnish "Iceman" Kimi Raikknonen's 20th consecutive 2 Formula One finish.
The Finn had some damage to the front wing of his car after some contact, and spoke 3 with frustration 4 despite a stadium full of Finnish national flags flying.
Er, I think we just had wrong settings. The practice start was very good but then it was really bad for the real start and we lost some positions and after that the car was ok. But I had a little accident, some problems with Perez and we damaged the nose and the front wing."

"I seemed to be able to apply a little bit pressure to Kimi but not enough to get close to him and overtake him. On Saturday, Hamilton earned his first pole position for Mercedes just three races into his career with his new team.
On the slate 5 now, Vettel still leads the championship, three points ahead of Raikkonen and nine ahead of Alonso with Hamilton fourth, 12 points ahead of the leader.
The next race will be held in Bahrain next week from April 19 to 21st.
