We begin though tonight with a trial of adoctor who run authority describe as a house of horrors, a filthy 1 medicalclinic in Philadelphia that for years performed illegal abortions 3 on mostlypoor patients. What allegedly happened inside this abortion 2 clinic called theWomen's Medical Society could have been stopped, if any members of state agencyactually down their jobs. They did it and women and children pay the price.
Doctor's Gosnell's untrained staff would allegedly induce labor 5 and he will kill otherwise healthy babies. It's gruesometo even think about, but he did by snipping 6 their spinal 7 cords with a pair of scissors. Doctor Gosnell was not certified 8 as obstetrician or gynecologist, andis now on trial on eight counts of murder. He faces the death penalty.
The evidence which is presented in this grand jury report. 281 pages of it is sickening. According to a police detective, doctor Gosnell stated as many as 20% of fetuses 9 he aborted 10 were probably older than 34 weeks. Page five of the grand jury report details the live deliveringkilling of a 7 1/2-month-old baby. 7 1/2 months吐old, big enough, the doctor allegedly said to quote walk me to thebus stop. Page five of 281 pages. There is more on every page detailing the unlicensed, untrained staffers including a 15 year old. 15-year old hired as an inter 11 whoended up medicating patients and even assistanting with abortions.
Now the report also lays out the government agencies that have been given warning signs about Doctor Gosnell's clinics. Some of them dating back decades.

We are going to talk about all of that in amoment with our senior legal analyst 12 Jeffrey Toobin and others who have been covering this story for a long time. But the first and this isn't easy to watchmore on what allegedly happened inside that clinic.
Doctor Gosnell's abortion clinic is now close, but the allegations of what happened inside are shocking. Babies allegedly murdered after induce labor.
A baby has been born. And was on a cold steel table and murdered by taking scissors and putting them into the neck, and then cutting, severing 13 the spinal cord. This is homicide. It's murder.
A scratching ground jury report alleged 4 32-year old doctor Kermit Gosnell and his staff likely murdered hundreds of babies with what he called, quote snipping is to ensure fetal demise 14. Accurateecords, however, were never kept, so doctor Gosnell is only accused of murdering seven babies born alive, as late as eight months into pregnancy 15.
The same report also details a litany of gory 16 health violations 17 where he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs and perforated their wombs and bowels 18.
