  学生:在中国通常是这样的。
  教授:你研究生阶段学了几门课?

  教授:Good. 我看到你有一门课是%% and ##,是着重于%%还是##?
  学生:着重于##,因为%%在本科也学过。(教授是重点研究##的)

  学生:我从网页上了解到你的研究方向是******,很理论化,难道不和实验相结合吗?
  教授:***###%%%(大段的论述,基本搞不清在说什么,大概是说所谓的“理论”是什么意思。当然还有做实
  验。)
  教授:你学过计算机方面的课吗?
  学生:挺多的。有软件、硬件、操作系统、离散数学……
  教授:Good. 你有什么问题要问吗?
  学生:我有一些问题。一般博士要读几年?
  教授:看情况。我觉得你2年到2年半就行了。
  学生:(有点惊奇)这么短?
  教授:因为你的研究生已经读了3年,而且做过很多研究,第一年要学习,第二年……
  学生:还有一个问题,您觉得我被录取和拿奖的机会如何?
