W: We like to get down to business today.

M: How much will you order this time?

W: We will place a trial order with you for 100 dozen and this is the order sheet.

M: It is a small size.

W: You know this is the first transaction with you.

M: I see. But I have deducted 2 15 percent from the price. Let’s have your counter offer.

Dialogue 2.

W: If your price is favorable I can place a larger order right away.

M: This is the most favorable price we can offer at present. You know we’d like to discuss the possibility of establishing a long term agreement between our 2 corporations.

W: We have made a concession 3 in order to close this deal. The price you offered seems too high. It would be impossible for us to make any sales at such prices.

M: But we offer the products with the higher quality and there is no problem with market access.

W: It’s been my experience that I agree that yours are of better quality. What about cutting the price by 10 percent? It couldn’t be higher.

M: Well, each makes a concession so that we can close the deal.

W: How about 150 dollars per box?

M: It’s a deal.

W: Then that’s settled.

Dialogue 3.

W: You know the prices are showing a decline. We hope you could make a deduction 4 of 15 percent from the price.

M: We will never be able to count down to the price you name.

W: But your price is still on the high side, even of taking quality into consideration. That’s the case there is hardly any need for further discussion.

M: OK. It’s a deal. And we hope it will encourage business between us. If we deduct 1 15 percent from the price could you consider a large order?

W: When can you load the ship?

M: We assure you that we shall affect the shipment on the specify 5 date in your order.

W: We need the goods urgently so hope you will do anything possible to secure the punctual shipment.

M: We will try our best.

W: There is one point which I like to bring up about the packing.

M: Well, that’s just what I am going to say. We always use different packing for different goods. You needn’t be afraid of the card board boxes and they are strong enough for transportation by sea.
