 Two months on from the Christmas Island boat disaster, the first funerals will today be held for those killed in the shipwreck 1. Family members of 12 of the victims live in Sydney and requested they be buried there. Seven survivors 2 will travel from Christmas Island for the ceremonies along with 14 other detainees. Thirty bodies were recovered from the wreckage 3 with 20 other people missing, presumed dead.
