The latest Newspoll shows the Federal Coalition 1 leads Labor 2 in the primary vote for the first time since the election. The poll in the Australian newspaper shows the Coalition’s primary vote at 41 percent to Labor’s 40 percent. When parliament resumes today, the Opposition 3 Leader Tony Abbott will release his plans to tackle climate change.


 


The US President Barack Obama’s set to make his first visit to Australia in March. He’s expected to discuss issues such as climate change and the economic recovery with Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. President Obama has just unveiled his budget for the coming financial year, aimed at creating millions of new jobs and eliminating waste. The administration plans to stimulate 4 the economy by big increases in spending of more than five percent this year and a further three percent in 2011.
