Julia Gillard's hopes of forming the next government have been dealt a serious blow. A recalculation of the two-party preferred vote shows the Coalition 1 now more than 1,900 votes ahead of Labor 2. And in Slovakia, at least six people were killed and 14 injured when a man went on a morning rampage with an assault rifle. The shooting happened in a housing estate in the capital Bratislava. At least six of the dead were members of the same family.
