A central Queensland vet 1 has died from Hendra virus in the Brisbane hospital. Dr. Alister Rodgers contracted the virus while treating sick horses at a property near Rockhampton last month. He and three property workers had a trial of antiviral drugs in Rockhampton. But he was flown to Brisbane after becoming seriously ill.
The New South Wales Opposition 2 will try to force an earlier election by moving the vote of no confidence in the Labor 3 Government today. It follows the resignation of John Della Bosca as Health Minister, after revelations he had an affair with a 26-year-old woman. Opposition Leader Barry O’Farrell says it’s the final straw for state’s voters.
