All right, quickly, from PETS to plagiarism 1, F is no longer the mark of true duncery. Now you can do worse. A university in Canada recently introduced a grade called FD, which stands for Fred Dearth 2. Actually I am kidding. It stands for failure with academic dishonesty, and indeed, it’s a notch 3 below an F, Simon Fraser University, named after Simon Fraser, FYI, cooked up the new grade to deal with cheaters, including students who use online essay writing companies as well as high-tech 4 devices like cell phones and spoons during exams. The FD grade would stay on the student’s transcripts 5 during their time at college, and for two years after graduation, translation blur 6 ? black mark. Really? Yeah, which really isn't much of a translation at all.

I, I, I don’t understand!

Never been more clear to me! Oh my god!

Paul, what you think this, it’s, it’s this new grade, a good addition to the overall grading scale? Yeah, I wanna know where this was when I was in school because I would get a D or an F! Walk out of the class with my head down feeling like a loser. And now, there is actually people that are going to be beneath that, so those guys can feel better about it, so, um, you know, and how bad does it look if you go into like a job interview, and you have an FD on there. What will you even say to the guy? How much of a loser do you have to be?

It says he's resourceful, yeah.

It does and could be seen as a good sign in there. And actually you would go the extra mile include cheating, but I want to ask you , Julie, what do you make of this, do you think this is fair, because we didn't have this option so it’s unfair to them now, right?

It’s totally unfair, but it’s Canadian, and there’s a Canadian sitting around I don’t know if it’s my imagination or not.

Ok, congratulations.

Thanks. But, um, here is the thing, there is something that I came up with the context grading,(yeah,) where you would have a grade and instead of like what they do, you would get a grade like that, let’s say I got a D.

right!

You would have DBBM, so if I got a D, then I could have context, you can explain it to your future employers, your parents. DBBM,ur,D, due to boyfriend breaking up with me.

Oh……

Oh, always blame it on the dudes.

Yeah……

That’s always your fault.

Yeah, well I’m not surprised. Ron, what do you make of this?

Well, ur, you know, I have been both a college student, and I’ve taught college courses, so I see this from both sides, where I think it’s a hypocritical use, you know ,university’s acting 7 like, It’s only the actions of the students that can make a grade, (right,) non-legit!

First, I..

So what you were saying is you manipulated your grades?

Yes, first of all, ok, A, B, they should get an AB, A, but…[expletive]

Interesting, hahaha…….

AS, A, but, you have to stoke up some 60-year-old lady professor, you know, AA, A but…

Yeah, it’s OK!

Alcoholic 8 guy, he has a grade of A, but seriously idiots...
