[00:39.48]USING PARTS OF SPEECH

[00:42.20]If you don't understand a word or phrase 2 in

[00:44.96]English,ask yourself what part of speech it is.

[00:49.30]It might be a noun,a verb 3 or a preposition 4,

[00:53.32]for example. Knowing what it is can help you

[00:57.06]understand better.

[00:58.86]And it allows you to use the new English word

[01:02.53]or phrase correctly in the future.

[01:07.19]I'll send you a photo of Lucky.

[01:10.55]Dear Miss Li,

[01:12.46]I'd like to thank you for sending money to

[01:24.97]who has filled my life with pleasure.

[01:27.58]Let me tell you my story.

[01:30.15]Being blind, deaf, unable to walk or use your

[01:34.14]hands easily is something that most people

[01:37.62]cannot imagine.

[01:39.37]But there are many people who face these

[01:41.82]challenges,and I am one of them.

[01:44.91]Because I can't use my arms or legs well,

[01:48.32]normal things like answering the telephone,

[01:51.61]opening and shutting doors or carrying things

[01:55.18]have always been difficult for me.

[01:58.14]Then one day last year,a friend of mine said

[02:01.60]that she would like to help me out.

[02:04.39]She said she would talk to "Animal Helpers"

[02:07.29]to see if it would be possible for me to get a

[02:10.02]specially trained dog.

[02:12.58]She also thought a dog might cheer me up.

[02:16.07]I told her that I love animals and that I'd love

[02:19.39]to have a dog.

[02:21.84]After six months of training with a dog at

[02:24.26]"Animal Helpers",I was able to bring him home.

[02:28.67]My dog's name is "Lucky"-a good name for him

[02:32.15]because I feel very lucky to have him.

[02:35.22]You see,I'm only able to have a "dog-helper"

[02:38.69]because of your kind donation 6!

[02:42.41]How does Lucky help me,you might ask?

[02:45.22]Well,he has been trained to understand different

[02:48.43]instructions.

[02:49.87]For example,I say,"Lucky!Fetch my book,"

[02:53.90]and he does it at once.

[02:56.52]He is very clever and understands many English

[02:59.69]words,even some difficult ones like "upstairs".

[03:04.62]Lucky is an amazing dog.I'll send you a photo of

[03:09.07]him if you like,

[03:10.14]and I could show you how he helps me too me day.

[03:13.84]And so I thank you again for supporting

[03:16.54]"Animal Helpers".

[03:18.24]It is very important that this organization does

[03:21.13]not run out of money.

[03:23.43]Your donation is greatly appreciated and the

[03:26.48]money is well used to help disabled people like
