Lightning and floods can be dangerous. 闪电与洪水有可能会造成危险。
But if you prepare for a storm, you can be safe. 不过，你要是为暴风雨预做准备，就可以保持平安。

Welcome, friends! There are many storms in the summer. 朋友们，欢迎！夏天有许多暴风雨。
Sometimes storms are dangerous. 有时候，暴风雨很危险。
But don't worry! We can prepare for them. 可是别担心！我们可以做好准备。
Wayne the Weatherman can tell us about storm safety. 气象员韦恩可以告诉我们暴风雨安全须知。
Hi! I'm Wayne the Weatherman. 嗨！我是气象员韦恩。
I report the weather forecast on TV. 我在电视上报导气象预报。
Wayne, there were a lot of storms lately. 韦恩，最近有很多暴风雨。
You're right, Rob. In fact, we're getting another big storm tomorrow night! 罗柏，你说得对。实际上，我们明天晚上又会有另一场大暴风雨！

So, how dangerous are storms? 所以，暴风雨到底有多危险？
Well, small storms are no problem. 小暴风雨不会构成问题，
But big ones can be very dangerous. 可是大暴风雨有可能很危险。
Sometimes lightning hits buildings and starts fires. 有时闪电会打在建筑物上而引发火灾。
What about rain and wind? 那雨和风呢？
Floods can also damage buildings. 洪水也有可能破坏建筑物，
And strong winds can blow down trees onto houses and roads. 强风则可能把树木吹倒在房屋与道路上。
Wow! Strong storms do sound serious. 哇！强烈暴风雨听起来确实很严重。
But if you prepare, you can prevent many accidents. 可是你如果有做好准备，就可以避免许多意外。

Stay inside a strong building during a storm. 暴风雨期间要待在坚固的建筑物里。
Be prepared to have no electricity. 要为停电做好准备，

Unplug home computers, TVs, and phones. 家中的计算机、电视和电话的插头都要拔掉。
