Clarke sets 60m fastest time this season

PARIS, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Jamaican sprinter 1 Lerone Clarke clocked the fastest 60-meter time this season on Tuesday at the Lievin indoor meet in France.
The Commonwealth 2 Games champion, 30, timed 6.5 seconds to win the match, and finished clear of France's European 100m champion Christophe Lemaitre by 0.07 second.
Lemaitre failed to better his personal best in the 60m of 6.55 seconds.
Mickael Frater, also from Jamaica, finished the third at 6.62.
