文中的donate his entire fortune to charity after his death字面上是“死后将全部财产捐出”，其实就是我们常说的“裸捐”，英文中也可以用all-out donation来表示。盖茨和巴菲特在美国劝说富豪们give the majority of their wealth（捐出大部分财产），这些富豪都属于super-rich级别。
不少富豪由于害怕being lobbied to make charity promises（劝捐），因而婉拒了philanthropic gathering/banquet（慈善晚宴）的邀请。因为在中国，富豪们都想要leave their entire fortunes to their descendants（把财产留给后代），这是一个deep-rooted concept（根深蒂固的观念），不是那么容易改变的。
