cram 1 / swot for exam 临阵磨枪应付考试

之前提到了临阵磨枪应付考试，这里再补充一个短语：burn the midnight oil。如果在午夜时分燃烧灯油，那也就意味着熬夜苦读了。所以它的意思就是挑灯夜读，也就是我们平时所说的开夜车。
例如：I have a big test tomorrow morning, so I plan to burn the midnight oil tonight. 因为明天我有一个重要的考试，所以我计划开夜车了。

- There was such a cram in the church.教堂里拥挤得要命。
