Former soccer head sentenced 10-1/2 years for bribery

TIELING, Liaoning Province, June 13 (Xinhua) -- The former Chinese soccer chief Nan Yong was sentenced to 10 and a half years in prison for taking bribes 1.
The former director of the Chinese Football Administrative 2 Center was charged with 17 counts of taking bribes worth 235,000 U.S. dollars.
Nan's predecessor 3 Xie Yalong, accused of accepting bribes totaling more than 273,000 U.S. dollars, is waiting for his verdict.
Four former Chinese international players - Shen Si, Qi Hong, Jiang Jin and Li Ming, charged of taking a total of 1.27 million U.S. dollars to fix a league game, all received jail sentence.
Shen was given a six-year term while the others were sentenced for five and a half years.
