12 killed in Nigeria suicide bombers attack

BAUCHI, Nigeria June 3 (Xinhua) -- At least 12 people were killed and several others injured when a suicide bomber 1 attacked a church in Nigeria's northern city of Bauchi on Sunday, witnesses said.
The suspected suicide bomber detonated his explosives at the premises 2 of Harvest Field Church in Yeruwa area of the state.
A Xinhua reporter in the city said he counted 12 dead bodies at the scene of the attack, noting that the church was badly damaged as a result of the attack.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) spokesperson Yushau Shuaib told Xinhua that the agency had mobilized response agencies on a rescue mission to the scene of the explosion.
Soldiers cordoned 3 off the site of the explosion barring civilians 4 from entering the area.
No organization has claimed responsibility for the blast yet.
