PARIS, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Euronext announced Monday a partnership 1 with the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) to enhance the promotion 2 and marketing 3 of its cash, derivatives 4, commodities and index data in China.
According to Euronext, the partnership will further enhance the visibility and accessibility of Euronext's listed companies, markets and products, reaching the highest number of retail 5 investors 6 in the world. It will help facilitate Chinese investors' effective and convenient investment in the European market.
The current focus is on education of the Chinese market regarding the equities 7 available on Euronext, which includes 50 percent of the Euro Stoxx 50 constituents 8 and other hi-tech stocks that are of particular interest to investors in China.

In the next phase Euronext and SSE will refine the data packages available to reflect the specific demand for the Euronext data.

Bo Que, Vice 10 President of the Shanghai Stock Exchange said, "By acting 11 as domestic sales and marketing agent of Euronext market data, we believe this strategic co-operation can enrich product line for local information vendors 12 and strengthen local investors' knowledge to manage their investment portfolio 13. It is also a further step for SSE towards internationalization."
