Troussier, better in the second division?

 　　SHENZHEN, South China, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Phillipe Troussier's Shenzhen Ruby 1 suffered a bitter 1-0 defeat against Shanghai East Asia at their first home match in the Chinese second division league here on Saturday, overshadowing their ambition to return to the top fight.

　　It was the third day after the Frenchman's 57-year birthday when he returned to Bao'an stadium after the disappointing season. Fans could read no smile at all from his face. Certainly not a good time for parties and celebrations as he was facing one of the toughest times in his coaching career.
　　"Although we lost the game, we played as a very good team today in the second half. We have done all we could to keep it going," said Troussier after the match.
　　The "White Witch Doctor" had waded 2 through a baffling season last year, when Shenzhen only managed to achieve five victories in 30 league games and was relegated 3 to the second division for the first time under his supervision 4.
　　A week ago, at his first match in the second division, Troussier changed seven of the starting 11 lineups compared to last season.

　　"I came to Shenzhen to change the mentality 7, and there were 26 players who never played in the Super League before - my mission is not for a one year-contract, my mission is to change this club," said Troussier when he took charge of the Shenzhen team last year.
