作家池莉：支持“全民阅读”愿景

Writer Chi Li rarely visits bookshops anymore and instead buys online as she believes it is difficult to find what she calls "real" books on shop shelves.
作家池莉现在都在网上购书，而几乎不再逛书店买书了。她表示如今在书店的书架上很难找到她心里真正意义上的“书”。
"Most of the books in shops are reference works to help residents pass a test or earn more money, which in my eyes are not real books," said Chi, 57, from Hubei province.
池莉是一位来自湖北省的57岁女作家。她说：“书店里的大部分书都是工具书，这些书都是帮助人们通过考试或者赚到更多的钱，我觉得这些都不是真正的书。”
"It's rare for me to go to bookshops now as I can't find what I want to read. Many of the books are written in the same style and have the same contents, such as advice on how to be rich and successful."
“我现在很少去逛书店了，因为我找不到我想要读的书。很多书都是同样的风格，同样的内容，比如说如何变得富有和成功一类的建议。”

Chi, a deputy to the National People's Congress, was pleased to see that Premier 1 Li Keqiang set out proposals to encourage a love of literature in the Government Work Report he presented at the two sessions.
作为全国人大代表，池莉很高兴看到李克强总理在两会政府工作报告上倡导对文学的热爱。
"We will ensure that more outstanding works of literature and art are created for the people to enjoy, and encourage a love of reading in all our people to build a nation of avid 2 readers," Li said.
李克强指出，“要提供更多优秀文艺作品，倡导全民阅读，建设书香社会。”

Chi said: "It is good that this has been highlighted in such a high-level document, it means our leadership has realized the importance of reading."
池莉说：“能够在这么高级别的文件里突出阅读的地位，说明我们的领导人也意识到了阅读的重要性。”
However, she remains 3 concerned about the types of book people read. Though several local governments have invested money in building libraries, "it doesn't mean residents can enjoy real reading", she said.
尽管一些地方政府已经拨款兴建图书馆，但池莉仍然对人们读书的类别有所担忧。她说：“这并不意味着人们就可以真正享受阅读了。”
"These governments did not carry out research before setting up libraries and had no idea about what books the readers in their regions like or need.
“这些地方政府在兴建图书馆前并没有事先了解和考察，他们不知道当地的读者喜欢或者需要哪一类的书。”
"Therefore, fewer people will be attracted to read in the libraries. If this is so, it will be hard to create a love of literature."
“因此，越来越少的人会被吸引到图书馆看书。如果这样，要培养对文学的热爱会变得很难。”
Chi, whose novels include Life Show, Comes and Goes and Good Morning, Lady, added: "Reading good books can contribute to the cultural makeup 4 of a nation and the development of the individual."
池莉补充道：“读好书有助于个人的发展乃至国家文化的构成。”池莉的作品有： 《生活秀》（Life Show），《来来往往》（Comes and Goes）和《小姐你早》（Good Morning, Lady）。
